Katie’s designs are real beauties. And she offers such good diagrams and clear instructions. We cut all the parts for 12 chairs and 2 sofas for a mission church in New Orleans ( and that is a lot of parts for 14 pieces. We have pre-drilled almost 1,000 pocket screw holes also) and have them packaged for the youth from the church to assemble everything this weekend)

My husband mills his own lumber and these plans are awesome once a person has the lumber milled to build. He used cedar planking for the seat and back! We don’t have a pocket hole jig so he had to improvise but all in all we are very please with the plans and the product they produce.

Great plan, easy to follow and nice results. Just what we wanted for our cottage bed.

Only comment would be that there is a slight oddity in the plan - the diagrams and the cut list have a 1/2 inch difference on the plank lenghs. The extra half inch is needed to fit the mattress properly, but just a bit confusing.

That was a fun project to make. I will say measure your bed our bed was smaller length wise then the prints. But it will be an easy fix.
I have almost no wood working experience and this was really easy to follow. I would recommend it, we got common fir wood and it came out to about $130 in wood. Then took us about 4 days after work to complete.

My wife and I like to play a game "what would we buy with 1 million dollars?" Last time we played we got the idea for a mirror image of our kitchen, but on the deck on the other side of our kitchen wall.

When I found this plan, I realized we didn't need 1 million dollars. I just finished building the kitchen island which was our first step. It cost me about $120 to build (not including the counter) and probably took about 8 hours total time. We're going to use some leftover plywood and shelf liners from the dollar store for now, and this summer I'll try my hand at a concrete countertop. If all works out, I plan to add another piece using the same plan (minus the bar stools) each year until we finish the plan. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

The plans are straight forward easy to follow and I love that you have the shopping list with all the materials broken out.
